AGRICULTURE

Farming and fish reared are some of the basic economic occupations of the people in the District.
Within almost every part of the district,crops including cocoa, oil palm, pineaple, plantain, yam, rice, tomatoes, garden eggs, citrus, pepper, cassava, cabbage, cocoyam and maize are grown.
Listock and birds are also kept in the District.

DISTRICT PROFILE

The Sefwi Wiawso District is one of the oldest district in the Western Region.It has produced four distries which include Sefwi Bibiani District, Jubouso District, Bia District and the recently created Sefwi Akontombra District.
The Districtt is located in the north eastern part of the region and bordered to the north of the Brong Ahafo Region.It has twenty six electoral areas currently.
